Job Description Reporting to the Senior Sales Director - Southeast North America, the Regional Sales Director for Channel Sales Executives leads a team focused on video security and access control. This role is a strong, customer-focused leader who is efficient, results-oriented, and dedicated to coaching a regional team in North Carolina and South Carolina.
Key responsibilities:
Provide service leadership to the regional team to enable success
Drive, coach, and mentor the regional team in prospecting for net-new customers
Create, nurture and respond to sales opportunities with regional team members and help close sales orders
Establish quarterly and annual sales objectives for all territories within the Region in coordination with the Senior Sales Director and Vice President of Sales – North America
Promote and sell Motorola products and services through direct customer contact within the assigned geographic territory
Conduct sales calls, schedule local promotional activities, and track sales activities with all channel and end-user opportunities using Salesforce.com
Supervise and manage the Regional Sales team for successful performance
Oversee and manage the sale of products and services within the specified territory
Provide feedback from end-user requirements to engineering and operations to help implement product improvements
Other duties as assigned
Specific Knowledge & Skills 4+ years of experience in one of the following: Sales, Video or Physical Security
1+ years of leadership experience
Proven leadership ability to influence, develop and empower employees with a team-first approach
Proven team player with success collaborating across departments while maintaining tact and diplomacy
Physical security solutions experience is a plus
Strong understanding of go-to-market strategy and sales philosophy with proven funnel development through prospecting
Strong technical acumen and ability to speak toward products and solutions; knowledge of networking protocols and equipment configuration
Proven track record of delivering sales results and developing collaborative relationships
Excellent analytical, verbal and written communication skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Exceptional presentation skills
Ability to solve complex problems with solutions used across geographies and industries
Travel: Approximately 50-75% of regional travel, majority by car; some national/international travel for tradeshows and conferences
