Placement Type: Temporary Salary: $32-40 Hourly Start Date: 10.20.2025 Remote | 40 hours/week | 3-month contract We're looking for a highly detail-oriented Packaging Production Artist to support our high-volume packaging workflow. This is a remote, full-time freelance position (40 hours/week) for an initial 3-month engagement, with the possibility of extension. You're someone who thrives in production, loves the process, and understands the importance of precision in packaging design. You'll work alongside a team of strong designers and be responsible for preparing clean, accurate files for print-primarily cardboard-based packaging for international and direct-to-consumer (DTC) markets. Key Responsibilities: Execute and finalize dielines and mechanicals for a wide range of packaging formats: DTC boxes
Belly bands Hangtags Specialty boxes for Asia and other international markets
Ensure all production files meet print specifications and brand standards. Maintain consistency and precision across high-volume SKUs. Work closely with design and production teams to set up packaging files correctly-no detail is too small. Support the transition to Figma for select digital asset needs.
Ideal Candidate:
3+ years of experience in packaging production, with a strong portfolio of box and dieline work. Deep understanding of how to set up production-ready files for print. Passion for production and meticulous attention to detail-you find satisfaction in getting every line, bleed, and fold just right. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-output environment. Clear communicator who collaborates well with designers and cross-functional teams.
Tools & Skills:
Expert in Adobe Creative Suite, especially Illustrator and InDesign. Familiarity with Figma a plus (especially for digital file handling). Strong organizational and file management skills. Working knowledge of international packaging standards is a bonus.
