Radio Frequency Engineer

Join W3Global as a Radio Frequency Engineer, working on autonomous underwater vehicles (AUVs) that monitor subsea infrastructure in real time. Our technology provides operators with continuous, high‑bandwidth visibility of assets such as telecom cables and offshore platforms, all from the safety of onshore control. With live HD video, 3D sonar, and dynamic swarm interaction, our AUVs enable unprecedented exploration and protection of the ocean.

Role

We are seeking an experienced RF engineer to join our wireless communications modem team. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience with software‑defined radios (SDRs) and will contribute to RF hardware, modulation schemes, baseband design, firmware‑level code, and more. This is a highly dynamic role requiring autonomy, flexibility, and problem‑solving skills.

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of RF/FPGA engineering experience or extensive projects designing or integrating SDRs.
  • 2+ years designing PCBs with a focus on mixed‑signal design.
  • Proficiency in embedded software development, including C/C++ for microcontrollers and low‑speed digital protocols (I2C, SPI, UART) at the firmware level.
  • Experience writing Verilog/SystemVerilog for FPGAs and FPGA‑based DSP.

Nice to Have

  • PCB design experience involving FPGAs.
