Our client is a boutique, award-winning architecture studio based in Midtown Manhattan, known for a wide variety of projects that span diverse scales, typologies, and scopes. Their workday offers exposure to both interior and exterior architectural elements, giving staff opportunities to experience all phases of design and construction.

The Opportunity

We are seeking an Intermediate Architect/Project Manager with strong experience in workplace design. This is a full-time, in-office role that provides ample opportunity for professional growth. The ideal candidate will take ownership of projects early on, manage team members directly, and collaborate closely with firm leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support the design process through all project phases, from schematic design to construction administration.
  • Create schematic layouts, construction drawings, and permitting documents.
  • Prepare marketing and presentation materials.
  • Participate in construction administration, including site visits, RFI responses, submittal reviews, and issuing meeting minutes.
  • Research and source furniture, lighting, fabrics, and other finishes.
  • Maintain and organize finish/material libraries.

Required Experience & Skills

  • B.Arch or M.Arch from an accredited institution.
  • 5–8 years of experience in a NYC architecture firm, with a focus on corporate interiors and/or retail.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Strong knowledge of construction means and methods, detailing, and materials.
  • Working knowledge of NYC building codes; zoning experience is a plus.
  • Ability to select and specify architectural finishes, lighting, and fabrics.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Additional Details

Salary:

80-110k, commensurate with experience
