Work Arrangement
The co‑op is based at Amgen’s Thousand Oaks, California headquarters, part‑time for 3–4 months, and hybrid. You will be on campus approximately 2–3 days per week.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in conceptualizing, filming, and editing video content focused on Amgen’s manufacturing story.
- Capture footage of people, facilities, and processes at Amgen’s Thousand Oaks headquarters.
- Support the creation of short‑ and long‑form video pieces for internal and external channels.
- Collaborate with communications and subject‑matter experts to ensure content accuracy and brand alignment.
- Incorporate storytelling techniques to translate complex manufacturing processes into compelling and accessible narratives.
- Maintain organized production files, including video footage, audio recordings, and graphics.
- Provide on‑set support, including lighting, sound, and camera operation as needed.
Basic Qualifications
- 18 years or older.
- Currently enrolled in a full‑time bachelor’s degree program from an accredited college or university, with a minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Completion of one year of study prior to the internship.
- Must not be employed at the start of the internship.
- Student must be located in the United States for the duration of the internship or co‑op.
Preferred Qualifications
- Undergraduate program in Film/Media Production, Communications, Digital Media, Journalism, or a related field.
- Strong technical skills in video production, including filming, lighting, sound, editing, and post‑production.
- Proficiency with industry‑standard editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop).
- Experience with motion graphics (2D or 3D) is a plus.
- Experience using artificial intelligence tools to create or enhance video content is a plus.
- Demonstrated creativity in visual storytelling with a portfolio or samples of prior work.
- Strong organizational and project‑management skills to handle multiple video projects with deadlines.
- Interest in science, healthcare, or corporate storytelling is preferred.
- Familiarity with audio recording and mixing for interviews, podcasts, or live events.
