VP, Global Creative – Shark Beauty
SharkNinja, a global product design and technology company, is seeking a Vice President of Global Creative for Shark Beauty. The role is based in {New York City or Needham, MA} and will lead the creative vision and strategy for the Shark Beauty family of products.
Position Overview
As a key member of the executive team, you will drive the creative direction, develop compelling concepts, and ensure brand consistency across all channels. You will partner with cross‑functional teams including marketing, product development, engineering, consumer insights, and sales to deliver a cohesive brand experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Creative Vision & Strategy
- Define and lead the creative vision for the Shark Beauty family of products, ensuring alignment with the overall brand strategy.
- Develop and implement a creative strategy that drives brand awareness, customer engagement, and loyalty across all channels.
- Establish a unique strategic beauty perspective that can be executed across the full product family.
- Leadership & Team Management
- Lead and inspire a multidisciplinary creative team including art directors, designers, copywriters, and other creative professionals.
- Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence within the creative team.
- Mentor and develop creative talent, providing guidance and feedback to enhance the team’s skills and performance.
- Interact with ELT to provide clear creative direction across multiple categories.
- Creative Product Development & Consistency
- Ensure consistency and integrity of Shark product stories across all creative executions.
- Oversee development of positioning, packaging, messaging architectures, and product first executions.
- Collaborate closely with Consumer Insights and Product Development teams to align creative messaging with consumer needs.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with marketing, product, and CI teams to translate business objectives into creative strategies and campaigns.
- Work closely with digital and social media teams to develop engaging content.
- Collaborate with external agencies, vendors, and partners to execute high‑standard creative projects.
- Innovation & Trend Analysis
- Stay ahead of beauty industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation in creative strategies and executions.
- Explore new creative opportunities on emerging platforms and channels.
- Pivot and iterate to keep the brand at the forefront of the industry.
- Resource Management
- Manage creative resources efficiently to achieve product launch success.
- Partner on selection and management of external creative partners.
- Recruit and grow a best‑in‑class creative team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Creative Arts, Marketing, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum 10 years of experience in a creative leadership role, preferably within home, beauty, or consumer goods industries.
- Proven track record of developing and executing successful creative strategies that drive brand growth and engagement.
- Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to inspire and develop creative talent.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills across functions and levels.
- Deep understanding of current creative trends, technologies, and best practices in digital, social, and experiential marketing.
- A strong portfolio showcasing innovative and impactful creative work.
