Base pay range

$95,000.00/yr - $115,000.00/yr

Power Plant Equipment Designer to join its engineering team. This role involves designing, drafting, and maintaining technical drawings for large-scale power plant components, particularly air‑cooled steam condensers and heat exchangers used in power generation and heavy industry.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain 2D and 3D CAD drawings for power plant equipment assemblies and components.
• Create detailed assembly and piece mark drawings for fabrication and installation.
• Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to ensure design accuracy and feasibility.
• Apply ASME codes and standards to all design work.
• Support R&D initiatives by contributing to innovative design solutions.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA safety standards and internal quality protocols.
• Participate in design reviews and provide technical input to improve product performance.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Drafting, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in mechanical design, preferably in power generation or industrial equipment.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Tekla, MicroStation, or similar 3D modeling software.
• Strong understanding of geometry, welding practices, and ductwork design.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
