Lasher for Congress is hiring a Creative Director to oversee and execute the campaign’s social media program and overall digital strategy. Pay range for this position is $5,400 - $6,000 / month; compensation will be commensurate with experience.

In this role, you will:

  • Own the campaign’s social strategy and translate the campaign's message and priorities into short-form and static content that drives engagement and supports fundraising and volunteer mobilization efforts when needed
  • Collaborate across departments develop a social calendar that aligns with key dates and deadlines, press hits, and campaign events
  • Deliver high-quality social media content create/record, edit, and publish short-form videos, static posts, graphics, and other content across channels
  • Play a lead role in rapid response monitor current events and prepare response statements with quick turnaround during important political moments

Ideal candidates have:

  • Digital communications experience with a focus on social media and creative production
  • Ability to collaborate with candidate and campaign team to develop messaging plan and translate plan into high-quality content across social media channels.
  • Strong writing skills and an ability to produce work in a rapid-paced environment with quick turnaround.
  • Passion for the campaign’s message of breathing new life into the Democratic Party, fighting Trump’s agenda, and delivering results to improve the lives of New Yorkers.
  • Experience in politics/ campaigns is a plus, but is not required.
