Part-Time Library Clerk – Moville Location (TEMP)

Join the Woodbury County Library system as a Part‑Time Library Clerk for the Moville Library. This temporary position supports bookmobile drives, library circulation, and community programming.

Responsibilities

• Up to 29 hours weekly on a bookmobile drive and library aid.
• Distribute books and library materials to county residents under the authority of the Woodbury County Library Director.
• Conduct regular story hour programs and summer reading activities.
• Shelve books, magazines, and reports; perform routine janitorial duties such as sweeping, vacuuming, and cleaning bathrooms.
• Type, file, and input computer data; prepare circulation counts and reports.
• Prepare overdue notices and send them to patrons with delinquent materials.
• Coordinate library activities to meet community needs and enforce county library policies.
• Lift up to 25 pounds per box routinely; lift approximately 40 pounds occasionally.
• Maintain accurate keyboard ability of 40 words per minute (net score).
• Attend staff training meetings as directed by the Library Director.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Knowledge of general office equipment operation.
• Knowledge of county library procedures, classification methods, and collections.
• Willingness to learn library procedures and classification methods.
• Ability to communicate courteously with patrons and coworkers.
