Remote Technical Writer – Siemens Government Technologies
Siemens Government Technologies seeks an experienced Technical Writer to spearhead our Electronic Security System ESS‑VII and our UMCS V contracts for the technical writing and deliverables of the design, engineering, procurement, installation, maintenance, and services at all U.S. Army Corps of Engineer (USACE) projects worldwide.
Responsibilities
- Develop and produce ESS and UMCS technical responses, installations, maintenance, and services schedules.
- Produce task order awards and project setup into Resident Management System (RMS) for USACE Huntsville ESS & UMCS programs.
- Deliver ESS/UMCS proposals, technical detail matrices, manufacturer data cut sheets, software data, system description analysis, operator and maintenance manuals, M&S manuals, accident prevention plans (APP, SVAAPP, LSAAPP), shop drawings and as‑built drawings, and related schematics.
- Submit, track, and document all outgoing and incoming technical documentation, grades, comments, approvals, and deliverables in RMS and SharePoint.
- Create and maintain a library of data documents, soft and hard copies per USACE requirements.
- Produce written documents including memoranda, trip reports, and telegraphic reports.
Requirements
- B.S. degree from an accredited university or equivalent years of experience.
- Experience with the USACE Huntsville ESS and UMCS programs.
- Understanding of UFC and UFGS guidelines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with ESS and UMCS contracts.
- Active and current CAC Card or ability to obtain.
- Active and current Secret Security (S) clearance or ability to obtain.
- US citizen with ability to obtain and/or maintain a US federal agency Secret security clearance.
