Job Title: Customs Entry Writer

Company/Industry: Mid-size international freight forwarder

Locations: Springfield Gardens, NY

Salary: Commensurate with experience + benefits

Status: Direct Hire, FT, On-site Mon-Fri

Responsibilities

1. Working directly with the team to clear shipments through U.S. customs and Other Government Agencies.
2. Ensuring timely customs clearances and accurate billing.
3. Review import paperwork for accuracy and communicate to clients for any missing information required for customs clearance.
4. Prepare all documentation per company's SOP and per government regulations.
5. Submit Importer Security Filing (ISF) for shipments being imported via Ocean Carriers.

Qualifications

1. Minimum of 2-3 years' experience in customs entry processing.
2. Experience with other government agency requirements.
3. Strong computer skills including data entry.
4. Excellent Verbal Skills.

Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $55,000.00 - $75,000.00
