**Job Summary**
The Student Assistant Instructional Designer assists with designing and developing online courses that meet WCAG2.1AA Standards.
Under supervision and guidance of the Instructional Designer, the individual in this position will perform a range of work including but not limited to:
+ Transfer content from instructor resources onto Canvas page(s)
+ Create video transcriptPDF files
+ Embed videos/audios and associated transcripts
+ Develop Audio Description Tracks where necessary
+ Create accessible documents
+ Write appropriate Alt Text as needed for graphics
+ Communicate regularly with the Instructional Designer and team members, on work task and progress
**Essential Functions**
**General Description**

+ Create accessible documents
+ Write appropriate Alt Text as needed for graphics
+ Communicate regularly with the Instructional Designer and team members, on work task and progress
**Job Expectations**
+ Experience related to customer service and communication.
+ Ability to work in team environment.
+ Familiarity with basic Microsoft office and Adobe Office processing.

**Minimum Qualifications**
+ Currently enrolled as a student at Auburn University.
+ Able to work 10-20 hours per week, M-F between 7:45am-4:45am fall and spring semesters (Hours will be built around applicant's class schedule).
+ Able to work 20-30 hours per week through summer semester.
+ Have valid driver's license.
+ Able to work in team environment.
+ Familiarity with basic Microsoft office and Adobe Office processing.
+ Able to meet deadlines.
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Familiarity with Canvas or other learning management system (LMS )
+ Able to work with Adobe pdfs
+ Comfortable typing and working with Microsoft Office programs: Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
+ Minimum commitment of three semesters
**Pay Rate**
$10.00-$11.00/hour
