User Interaction/User Experience Designer - Junior

Join Amentum as a Junior UI/UX Designer and shape the Cyber, Security, & Intel space in Washington, DC. This role supports mission‑critical projects that directly impact national security.

Responsibilities:

• Develop mock‑ups, wireframes, and prototypes for intuitive interfaces.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure design solutions align with technical constraints and business goals.
• Maintain style guides and ensure 508 compliance and responsive design best practices.
• Conduct usability testing, analyze results, and iterate on designs.
• Lead visual design efforts, mentor peers, and manage external resources.

Qualifications:

• Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience designing responsive web interfaces using HTML, CSS, JavaScript.
• Experience with accessibility guidelines (508/WCAG).
• Strong visual design skills, typography, color, and layout.
• Proficiency in design tools (Figma, Sketch, or Adobe Creative Cloud).
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred skills: JavaScript frameworks (React, Vue), UI libraries, and familiarity with Agile/SAFE methodologies.

Pay Transparency:

Base salary range $90k–$100k annually.
