Position Summary
The AV Technician plays a vital role in delivering a seamless, high-quality audiovisual experience during live events, internal meetings, and digital productions. This role requires technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in high‑pressure, fast‑paced environments. The ideal candidate will be flexible, solution‑oriented, and capable of managing live AV systems with confidence and professionalism. Must be available to work 2–3 weekends per month with compensatory days off during the week.

Objectives
- Ensure flawless execution of live audio and video systems, including consoles, switchers, projectors, LED walls, and cameras during events.
- Quickly diagnose and resolve real‑time technical issues with minimal disruption.
- Prepare, configure, and test all AV equipment prior to events.
- Disassemble, inspect, and maintain AV equipment post‑event.
- Guarantee all AV elements meet Cardone Ventures’ quality standards and branding.
- Support live streaming and recording workflows.
- Maintain detailed documentation and inventory.
- Work closely with producers, content teams, and facility staff.
- Follow safety protocols.
- Stay up to date with AV technology trends and recommend improvements.
Competencies
- Expert troubleshooting of audio, video, and signal‑routing issues under pressure.
- Proficiency with audio consoles, microphones, in‑ear monitors, and speaker systems.
- Skilled in operating ATEM, Tricaster, and Streamdeck systems for real‑time video switching.
- Strong understanding of AV signal paths (HDMI, SDI, XLR, Dante, NDI).
- Execution of AV setups accurately and efficiently under tight deadlines.
- Remains composed and solution‑focused during last‑minute changes.
- Effective cross‑functional communication.
- Ensures polished, consistent presentation aligned with brand standards.
- Professionalism and responsiveness with clients, owners, executives.
- Anticipates technical needs and prevents issues.
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or technical certification in AV, broadcasting, or related field preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in live AV production, broadcast, or corporate event support.
- Experience with AV equipment such as Blackmagic Design, Sennheiser, audio mixers.
- Familiarity with MacOS and Windows platforms; experience with Tricaster, OBS, or vMix beneficial.
