About the Role

Visual Merchandiser at H&M contributes to a consistent customer experience by implementing visual standards and commercial excellence. You are responsible for executing visual, commercial, and styling curation according to store guidelines and for coaching the store team to enhance the customer experience.

A Day in the Life

Working at H&M is dynamic. Typical responsibilities include:

  • Contribute to the OMNI customer experience by ensuring visual and commercial curation according to guidelines.
  • Represent the H&M brand positively during customer interactions.
  • Organize and plan workload according to the store activation plan and adapt business needs with Store Management and Area Visual Manager.
  • Launch and maintain global campaigns, sale activities, garment care, stock levels, and allocation input.
  • Perform sales report follow-up, identify visual & commercial opportunities with Store Management.
  • Create actions to increase customer satisfaction, reach sales targets, store goals, and budget.
  • Follow procedures, best practices for OMNI services, operational routines, legal requirements, and communication with the store team.

Fashion & Trend Awareness

  • Keep up-to-date with fashion trends, styles, brands, competitors, and influencers.
  • Plan time for fashion & trend awareness to understand trends, mood boards, styling techniques, and product presentation to anticipate customer needs.

Team & Development

  • Share, inspire, and educate store teams with seasonal changes, fashion trends, visual & commercial information, and price perception.
  • Coach and develop visual & commercial skills to secure high quality of product & commercial presentation.
  • Support daily routines and best practices to maintain visual & commercial standards and customer service engagement.
  • Develop and coach talents and provide onboarding training to new colleagues.
  • Organize, provide, and carry out visual & commercial upskilling for yourself and colleagues.
  • Complete Visual Competencies & Commercial 4 All trainings based on Regional & Sales Market learning goals.
  • Support Sales Market and Area teams with expansion needs.

Visual & Commercial Execution

  • Execute visual & commercial curation & styling based on commercial calendar, allocation, store activation plan, and mood boards from visual & commercial guidelines.
  • Carry out sample picking best practice routines and stockroom garment quantities, accessories, and shoes to create clear trends and stories.
  • Secure window & styling execution to create inspirational and commercial customer experience.
  • Maintain commercial layout, fixtures, and price signs in windows and throughout the store following guidelines.
  • Ensure all lighting works correctly to highlight products and display forms in windows and the store.
  • Maintain and care for all display forms and interior material with sustainability in mind.
  • Maintain store navigation and keep it up to date according to the latest guidelines and store layout.
  • Ensure the store has enough quantities of sale materials and POS material according to local routines.
  • Keep sales floor and back of house clean, organized, and safe according to local security guidelines.

Qualifications

  • Curious and creative, proactive, solution focused, flexible, with effective communication skills.
  • Fashion interests and leadership skills to apply visual and commercial experience in a dynamic environment.
  • Solution focused to improve product presentation and commercial execution in store.
  • Good knowledge of visual, commercial, and operational best practices, routines, and tools.
  • Know how to manage, follow-up, and act on selling equation and weekly sales reports.

Additional Information

Compensation: expected base salary range is $17.05-$21.33 hourly**
