Hybrid Work
We see the office as a place to come together and do extraordinary things. Everyone local to our Minneapolis and Philadelphia offices are expected to work from the office on Tuesdays and Wednesdays each week.
Role
The Integrated Production Department at Carmichael Lynch is a creatively led team that focuses on craft, efficiency, collaboration, problem-solving and storytelling. As a Senior Editor, you'll be part of our internal production group known as CL Labs. CL Labs encompasses both editorial, motion graphics, animation and our physical production studio. This position is responsible for editing social films, digital videos, internal videos and new business. In addition, this role supports business improvement by meeting personal and departmental goals and objectives timely and effectively.
Essential Functions/Principal Accountabilities of the Job
- Day-to-day responsibilities for this role include but are not limited to:
- Editing, tagging, audio, dub requests, motion graphics and technical support.
- Content needs include shooting, editing, prop-making and motion graphics and/or animation.
- Graphics and VFX needs for necessary projects.
- Organizing video library, archive footage.
- Audio needs such as VO record and sound editing.
- Supporting creatives and editors by searching for music or footage.
- Be a creative problem-solver, flexible and curious.
- Strong collaborator willing to take creative challenges and risks.
- Seeks and experiments with new technology and remains current on industry trends.
- Keeps projects organized and can follow operational processes.
- Positive influence within agency culture.
Required Qualifications, Experience and Knowledge
- Education: Not a mandate – experience, a reel and references most important. A bachelor's degree in film/broadcast production is a plus.
- Skills and Experience: 5+ years of editorial experience in long form, short form, and social. Solid understanding of post-production phases and their respective processes. Work product demonstrating experience, creativity and collaboration.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Adobe Premier and After Effects; strong working knowledge in full Adobe Suite – specifically Photoshop and Illustrator, Media Encoder. Video Compression / Transcoding. MS Word, Excel. Google Docs. Not required but beneficial: Adobe Audition, Cinema 4D, DaVinci Resolve.
- Travel Requirements: After-hours and weekend work may be required.

Salary Range: $80,000 - 90,000 annually
