Staff Occupational Therapist

Anchorage, AK Work schedule:
Monday
Friday 8-hour shift Payment:
$45-$60 per hour (according to experience) Department:

Rehab Manager
What Youll Do Join our dynamic rehab team to help patients regain independence and improve daily function. Youll evaluate, treat, and guide patients through personalized therapy plans while collaborating with families and healthcare professionals. Youll also mentor assistants and contribute to staff training.
Key Responsibilities Evaluate patients within 24 hours of referral Design and implement treatment plans with physician approval Supervise Occupational Therapy Assistants and students Record evaluations, daily treatment notes, weekly progress notes, recertification documentation, per Occupational Therapy Board State Practice Act and governmental and third party payer requirements. Participate in care planning and interdisciplinary meetings Train caregivers and staff for post-discharge support Recommend adaptive equipment to promote mobility and independence Ensure therapy equipment is safe and functional Benefits Medical, dental and vision insurance 401k plan
Supervisory Duties Oversee Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs), aides, and students Qualifications Bachelors degree in Occupational Therapy (Masters or Doctorate preferred) State OT license in good standing Proficient in Casamba, Point Click Care, and clinical documentation Physical Requirements Frequent standing, walking, pushing/pulling Ability to lift/move up to 100 lbs occasionally Occasional climbing, kneeling, and crouching Strong sensory and visual acuity Work Environment Low to moderate noise levels Supportive team and collaborative care setting
