Hyster-Yale Materials Handling is hiring: 3D Real Time Artist in Portland

Overview

Hyster‑Yale Materials Handling, Inc. (HYMH) is a world‑class manufacturer of industrial lift trucks. We are looking for a 3D Real‑Time Artist to transform our quoting and sales platform in the Portland, Oregon area. The role will modernize the quoting experience by creating high‑quality visualization models for real‑time applications and collaborate with cross‑functional teams across 14 global locations.

Responsibilities

• Render high‑impact digital photorealistic product representations in a lightweight, web‑friendly format to support real‑time configuration for all Hyster‑Yale global products.
• Manipulate CAD: create, repair and maintain low‑poly models from existing CAD assets.
• Manage projects: work with cross‑functional stakeholders to ensure deliverables are met and manage workload to meet required timelines.

Qualifications

• Amazing eye for detail in color, lighting, and shading.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Graphics, Animation, Digital Media, Graphic Design, Photography, or equivalent experience.
• Very high proficiency in computer rendering using programs like Keyshot, Maya, 3DS Max, Cinema4D, Blender, or VRay.
• Skilled at creating complex material shaders to achieve photorealistic accuracy, familiarity with color reproduction, procedural textures, bump mapping, opacity maps, and material layering/graphs.
• High proficiency in digital graphics & image post‑processing (Adobe Photoshop). Advanced image editing concepts (layering, masking, filters) and strong working knowledge of formats to support image delivery (print/web). Adobe ACE a plus.
• Ability to coordinate and collaborate with others and manage projects on tight schedules.
• Photography coursework or experience (lighting and composition).
