The Digital Content Specialist supports strategic communication initiatives by managing college digital assets, creating engaging social media content, and producing a bi‑monthly e‑newsletter.
Responsibilities
- Oversee day‑to‑day maintenance of college and department websites, ensuring accessibility and SEO compliance.
- Create and distribute digital content online, including social media posts and electronic communications targeted at external stakeholders.
- Develop and manage content for an external bi‑monthly newsletter in collaboration with University Advancement.
- Organize community engagement activities such as tours and lab visits for high‑school and community‑college students.
- Assist college administrators with tasks related to executing the college strategic plan.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Graduation from a four‑year college in English, Marketing, Advertising, Communications, or a related field.
- Three (3) years of full‑time professional or technical experience in public affairs, media relations, marketing, and/or market research.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Proficiency in website maintenance, content management systems (CMS), digital accessibility standards, and SEO best practices.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders, including college leadership, faculty, and staff, to develop and execute engaging, user‑friendly web content.
- Expertise in social media content creation, editing, and distribution tailored to external stakeholders and diverse audiences.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for collaborating with administrators, department chairs, faculty, and student organizations in sourcing and refining content, and integrating graphical elements for digital communications.
Pay, Benefits & Work Schedule

- Anticipated hiring range: $4,146 – $7,500 per month.
- Full time; 40 hours per week; Monday through Friday; may include evenings and weekends.
- Regular position with a one‑year probationary period.
- Hybrid (4 days in office, 1 day remote); may change based on operational needs.
