Position Summary
Reporting to the Director of Creative and Content, the Graphic Designer is a full-time non-exempt position that is an integral part of the Marketing team. The Graphic Designer will help continue to build our brand and support all departments, including the BBBS Donation Center, Program, Development, Events, and Recruitment to meet departmental goals. The Graphic Designer will help design and create invitations, digital and print marketing campaigns, promotional pieces, signage, in-event materials, and work on all branding components.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Work with the Marketing team, Department Leaders and staff to develop design plans for initiatives, campaigns, events and projects.
- Create overall branding guidelines and standards for individual campaigns and events.
- Manage BBBSA national brand standards and educate others on the BBBSKC brand.
- Innovate and present new concepts and ideas to the teams to elevate the status of every initiative, project, campaign or event.
- Produce high quality design projects for each department in the organization.
- Work with outside vendors to create final print products.
- Implement creative processes and initiatives within the organization with a strong focus on teamwork.
- Serve as the primary BBBSKC photographer (coordinate, direct and shoot all photos or coordinate with event photographers as needed).
- Provide AV help at special events.
- Create graphics for all BBBSKC branded projects.
- Maintain and organize digital design files, photography archives, and campaign materials for easy team access.
- Contribute to the development of merchandise designs, apparel, and promotional items.
- Work with the Director of Creative and Content to set project priorities and deadlines.
- Provide overall marketing support to each department.
- Participate in some evening and weekend events.
About You
Our ideal candidate will be a team player who demonstrates a willingness and desire to stay on top of advancing trends and bring new ideas to the table. Candidates must be able to work on multiple projects at one time, meet competing deadlines, and serve as the day‑to‑day contact for department graphic design projects. The position requires flexibility, strong attention to detail, and the ability to jump in as needed to accomplish job requirements.
Education, Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, graphic design or communications preferred.
- 2-4 years’ experience in graphic design in a professional, full‑time capacity.
- Proven knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite on a Macintosh platform.
- Photography and videography experience a plus.
Requirements & Application
Portfolio including print (event signage, brochures, booklets, postcards, etc.) and digital (email design, social media graphics, presentation slide design, etc.) is required to be considered. Photography examples preferred.
