Primary Objectives
The Marketing Communications Coordinator / Graphic Designer is responsible for promoting the cooperative’s products and services in ways that enhance customer engagement, strengthen the cooperative’s brand image, and support its mission and goals. This position helps optimize market share, improve communication efficiency, and deliver outstanding customer service through effective marketing, design, and event coordination efforts.
Responsibilities
- Design and produce cooperative marketing and communication materials, including newsletters (customer and employee), brochures, data sheets, signage, and forms.
- Develop visual content for digital and print platforms while ensuring brand consistency across all materials.
- Capture and manage photo and video assets for use in marketing and communication efforts.
- Drive projects from concept through completion while maintaining deadlines and creative standards.
- Collaborate with the Director of Marketing Communications to ensure a consistent and professional image at all customer events.
- Assist with event coordination, including setup, teardown, and on-site logistics.
- Create supporting materials for events, such as trade show displays, invitations, and signage.
- Provide administrative assistance for marketing and special projects as needed, which may include preparing mailings and performing basic clerical duties.
- Support departmental initiatives and maintain a positive, team-oriented attitude that promotes cooperation and reinforces the cooperative’s image.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Graphic Design, Communications, or a related field preferred.
- Proficiency with design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail and brand alignment.
- Photography and/or videography experience preferred.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Positive attitude and professional demeanor when representing the cooperative internally and externally.
