Position Overview

As a Production Graphics Coordinator, you’re a key member of the Graphics Production Team, reporting to a Graphic Services Supervisor. You will contribute to the success of Ball by implementing administrative and production duties related to the graphics department including plate making and various other processes for the production of products for all our manufacturing plants.

Your Key Areas Of Responsibilities Include

  • Work with Pre-press, client services and plants to ensure quality throughout the graphics process.
  • Manage and maintain daily plate orders to the production schedule.
  • Produce printing plates/blankets for product labels according to files and computer order documents and packing list.
  • Produce product at acceptable rate and quality, as directed by graphics leadership.
  • Process plates according to plant specifications; punch various sizes of plates in accordance with plant guidelines.
  • Conduct inspection of materials and finished product, inspect plates/blankets and cross reference produced plates against packing list.
  • Inventory management of plate materials and replenish supplies and materials for assigned area.
  • Learn and utilize graphics management computer system.
  • Maintain safe practices regarding plate packaging/shipping.
  • Work with vendors/suppliers, as needed when onsite.
  • Perform troubleshooting on equipment and perform preventative maintenance.

Required Experience And Skills

  • Broad training in a related field usually acquired through high school; college or graduate degree level education or work-related experience.
  • Minimum 1 year of job related experience in a customer-focused role with working knowledge of graphic principles, practices, terminology and procedures.
  • Proficiency with common computer software (such as Microsoft Office Suite: Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Experience that required meticulous attention to detail and the ability to match graphics (colors, alignment, etc.)
  • Excellent work prioritization skills; demonstrated ability to meet schedules and adapt quickly as work priorities change.
  • Experience identifying and defining issues and using multiple sources (Standard Operation Procedures, Innovation and/or defined investigation techniques) to resolve issues.
  • Team player: demonstrated ability to effectively create and maintain a positive teamwork environment.

Preferred Experience And Skills

  • Experience in a production /manufacturing environment.
  • Mechanical skills/aptitude.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Hiring Salary Range: $54,300 - $72,180 (Salary to be determined by the applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.)
  • This role will be eligible to participate in the annual incentive compensation plan.

  • Onsite Work Environment: This position is based in Westminster, CO and requires regular in-person engagement by working on-site 5 days per week. Travel and local commute between Ball locations and other possible non-Ball locations may be required.
