Pay rate range: $45/hr to $50/hr (W2, Onsite)

About The Role

The MCAD Librarian manages and maintains the company’s extensive library of mechanical computer-aided design (MCAD) files, models, and related engineering assets. This role ensures efficient organization, cataloging, and retrieval of MCAD resources to support the design and engineering teams, who primarily use Siemens NX for mechanical CAD and Teamcenter for product lifecycle management (PLM).

Key Responsibilities

  • Validate MCAD files and related engineering data accuracy during component library overhaul.
  • Continuously review and update the MCAD library in Teamcenter to improve collaboration between Electrical and Mechanical teams.
  • Collaborate with engineering to understand evolving needs and implement improvements to MCAD data management processes.
  • Develop and implement standardization efforts to increase the quality of MCAD data in Teamcenter.
  • Maintain up-to-date models and datasets for the MCAD library in Teamcenter.

Qualifications And Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in library science, information management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3+ years of experience in an MCAD librarian or engineering data management role, preferably with Siemens NX and Teamcenter.
  • Proficient in using Siemens NX for mechanical CAD, Teamcenter for PLM, and Xpedition for electrical CAD (ECAD).
  • Strong organizational and cataloging skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills to support design and engineering teams.
  • Ability to learn and adapt to new MCAD software and file formats.
  • Experience with database management and information retrieval systems, particularly Teamcenter.
  • Knowledge of engineering design processes and technical documentation.
