Job Overview

Mighty Pilates is seeking an outgoing and friendly full-time Studio Manager with prior management experience in fitness, wellness, or a spa setting. This role oversees all guest services operations and serves as the primary point of contact for staff and clients, while also enhancing the in-studio experience, driving marketing and sales efforts, and overseeing MindBody Online operations.

Role + Responsibilities

  • Overseeing the front-of-house operations and managing Front Desk staff, including hiring & training, scheduling adjustments, securing coverage, and stepping in when needed to maintain uninterrupted operations.
  • Demonstrating tact, a high business acumen, and professionalism in responding to client and employee questions, concerns, and issues.
  • Partnering closely with the Instructor Manager to align on scheduling and class coverage, instructor hiring needs, and equipment upgrades to ensure seamless studio operations.
  • Managing timely studio upgrades, including submitting maintenance requests, monitoring cleaning schedules, and ensuring overall studio organization.
  • Managing studio inventory, including retail, cleaning supplies, and equipment, to ensure stock levels are maintained and replenished as needed.
  • Overseeing the studio budget and tracking expenses to ensure cost‑effective purchasing.
  • Reporting and following up on issues with Mindbody and other key platforms to ensure seamless operations.
  • Communicating process changes and updates to Instructors and Front Desk team in a clear and timely manner.
  • Acting as the expert on studio tools and platforms, including Mindbody, ClassPass, WellHub, and ADP, and providing necessary support.
  • Driving client engagement and retention by researching and proposing community and marketing initiatives, with a focus on selling monthly packages to new prospects and upselling to current clients.
  • Completing and submitting bi‑weekly payroll accurately and on time for all employees.
  • Managing relationships with studio property management and external vendors, including Mindbody Support, Balanced Body, and studio cleaners, among others.

Requirements

  • Interest in Pilates or personal fitness. Passion for health and wellness
  • Bachelor's degree encouraged
  • At least one year of Staff Management (5+ staff members)
  • At least two years of customer service experience and administrative experience in a spa, fitness center, or high‑end boutique.
  • Good phone demeanor and response time for email
  • Energetic, positive, friendly, caring
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent computer skills – experience with Adobe Illustrator and InDesign
  • Experience selling and upselling clients.
  • Experience with MindBody Online
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends. Able to get to the studio quickly to address issues in the rare case of emergencies.

Start Date

TBD in November, in‑person training before studio will be required in either Los Angeles, CA or San Francisco, CA.

Compensation

  • Compensation Based on Experience
  • Hourly and Full‑Time, Non‑Exempt
