Black Forest Labs is hiring: Growth Marketer in San Francisco
Black Forest Labs, San Francisco, California, United States
Growth Marketer
Black Forest Labs is a cutting‑edge startup pioneering generative image and video models. We invented Stable Diffusion, Stable Video Diffusion, and FLUX. We’re looking for a hands‑on, highly creative Growth Marketer to run experiments that drive awareness, adoption, and pipeline. Someone who knows what works because they have run the experiments, not because they read a growth handbook.
What You’ll Do
- Spin up experiments: microapps, landing pages, out‑of‑home, partnerships – anything that gets attention.
- Build viral mechanics and sharing features directly into the product experience.
- Create referral systems and API usage tracking to drive organic growth.
- Work with design and engineering to ship quickly and test often.
- Track results, tweak relentlessly, and know when to kill an idea.
- Implement user‑generated content loops that showcase FLUX outputs across multiple use cases and social platforms.
Content & SEO
- Make sure blogs, guides, case studies, and changelogs get published, promoted, and seen.
- Write compelling technical content and customer success stories.
- Help maintain SEO momentum with smart on‑page optimization and distribution.
- Collaborate on developer relations content that captures technical mindshare.
- Partner with customers to tell their stories and showcase their FLUX‑powered innovations.
Product & Brand Support
- Support product launches with channel‑specific campaigns.
- Own messaging and positioning across all touchpoints.
- Establish analytics infrastructure to track attribution and growth metrics.
Core Requirements
- 4–6 years of experience in growth or performance marketing at B2B SaaS companies.
- You’ve owned a number – pipeline, signups, MQLs – and also moved it.
- 80%+ of your time goes to execution. You can write copy, set up campaigns, analyze results.
- You’re an excellent writer and have a good eye for what resonates.
- Hands‑on with growth tools: Meta Ads, PostHog, Customer.io, Google Analytics; bonus if you’ve set them up yourself.
Generalist Mindset
- Excited by early‑stage chaos, wearing multiple hats, and helping build from scratch.
- Self‑sufficient – can ship without engineering support using no‑code or vibe coding tools.
Technical + Creative
- Understanding of AI/ML concepts, especially diffusion models and generative AI workflows.
- Exceptional visual taste – our outputs are judged visually, and so should our brand.
- Strong copywriting skills across technical documentation and creative messaging.
- Understanding of viral social platforms and what makes visual content spread.
- Data fluency – you can run SQL queries, set up tracking, and make data‑driven decisions.
Storytelling & Vision
- Can articulate why visual AI matters and how it creates new economic opportunities for creators and developers.
- Passionate about democratizing creativity through AI and making advanced models accessible to everyone.
- Natural advocate who can make FLUX the obvious choice for anyone working with generative AI.
- Understands how to position BFL as the category leader and make our story impossible to ignore.
The Right Profile
- An ex‑engineer who discovered they love growth more than pure product development.
- A product marketer ready to get hands‑on with growth execution.
- A founder/early employee who built growth from 0→1 at a developer tools or creative/ design tooling.
What This Role Isn’t
- Someone who thinks they’re too senior to write copy or hit publish on a blog post.
- Someone who needs long planning cycles.
- Someone looking to “own strategy” but not execution.
- Pure brand marketers or traditional demand‑gen specialists.
- Someone who needs a team to execute their ideas.
- Someone who manages agencies or vendors instead of building in‑house capabilities.
