Interaction Designer – Google Mountain View, CA; Irvine, CA; New York, NY; Seattle, WA Work on Google Ads and other advertising products. Focus on user-centered design to make billions of users experience intuitive interactions. Key Responsibilities Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and cross-functional stakeholders to understand requirements and provide creative, thoughtful solutions. Communicate the user experience at various stages of the design process with wireframes, flow diagrams, storyboards, mockups, or high‑fidelity prototypes. Integrate user feedback and business requirements into ongoing product experience updates. Advocate for the prioritization of design‑centered changes, refinements, and improvements. Produce deliverables such as mocks, wireframes, user flows, interactive prototypes, and visual specs with detailed focus. Requirements Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience. 4 years of interaction design experience in product design or UX design. Experience with mobile and desktop products. Include a portfolio, website, or any other relevant link to your work in your resume. Preferred Qualifications Master's degree in Design, Human‑Computer Interaction, Computer Science, or equivalent experience. 2 years of experience working in a cross‑functional organization. 1 year of experience leading design projects. Experience working within and contributing to design systems, and building accessible products. Knowledge of UX industry tools such as Figma. About the Role Google’s Interaction Designers take complex tasks and make them intuitive and easy‑to‑use for billions of people around the globe. Throughout the design process—from creating user flows and wireframes to building user interface mockups and prototypes—you’ll envision how people will experience our products and bring that vision to life in a way that feels inspired, refined, and even magical. This role is part of the Google Ads team building advertising products including search, display, shopping, travel, and video advertising, as well as analytics. Compensation The US base salary range for this full‑time position is $129,000‑$185,000 plus bonus, equity, and benefits. Salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.
