About the Role
Students For Liberty (SFL) is seeking a Marketing Operations Associate for an entry-level / junior position to strengthen the operational backbone of our Programs area, which oversees SFL’s international network of educational and leadership initiatives.
This role ensures that regional marketing projects are well coordinated, data-informed, and aligned with global strategies. Working closely with the Deputy Marketing Director, the associate will streamline workflows, monitor progress across regions, and help embed project management practices that improve collaboration and efficiency.
The selected candidate will have the opportunity to learn the processes, systems, and daily routines of a successful global marketing team responsible for generating over 280 million organic impressions annually.
The ideal candidate is analytical, organized, and proactive, with a strong interest in digital marketing operations and project management. This position is particularly suited for professionals at the beginning of their careers who are eager to grow in a fast-paced international environment.
Key Responsibilities
Support the planning, execution, and monitoring of marketing projects within Programs.
Prepare and maintain kick-off materials.
Build and manage schedules and workflows using tools like Jira and Google Sheets.
Track deliverables, milestones, and dependencies to ensure deadlines and priorities are met across all regions.
Define and improve team routines, workflows, and standard operating procedures.
Identify and automate recurring tasks.
Build and maintain dashboards that provide visibility into project progress and performance indicators.
Provide hands‑on assistance in marketing operations, including creating email automations, drafting newsletters, publishing content, and managing paid ad campaigns.
Support the setup and optimization of automation tools, such as ManyChat, RD Station, or Pardot.
Collaborate with regional teams to troubleshoot issues, ensure campaign consistency, and share best practices.
Qualifications Required
Strong commitment to SFL’s mission of advancing liberty, free markets, and peace.
Preferably, familiarity with SFL’s work and ongoing global initiatives.
Advanced English proficiency, both written and spoken.
Experience in project management and operations, preferably in marketing or communications.
Advanced knowledge of Google Workspace, especially Google Sheets (dashboards, pivot tables, advanced formulas).
Familiarity with Jira and project management methodologies.
Excellent organization, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
An analytical mindset and the ability to structure information clearly.
Ability to leverage AI tools (such as ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini) for data analysis, process optimization, and marketing tasks assistance.
Preferred
Experience with marketing platforms and tools, including Meta Ads, Google Analytics, Pardot, RD Station, Canva, and ManyChat.
Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and project documentation best practices.
Experience collaborating in global, remote, or cross‑functional environments.
Strong understanding of how digital marketing channels integrate, connecting paid media, organic content, copywriting, automation, and analytics into cohesive, results‑oriented campaigns.
Proficiency in Portuguese and / or Spanish, in addition to English.
