Position Overview The Content Strategist will develop and execute high‑level, multi‑year strategies for eBook and supplementary curriculum content in the Gale K12 team.

Key Responsibilities

Work closely with Product Management, Usage & Analytics, and UX to develop engagement metrics, dashboards, and reports.

Participate in new product development, strategize content ideas, and identify sales‑fostering opportunities.

Partner with instructional design, curriculum experts, technology, and marketing to launch products successfully.

Support content strategy and development of supplemental curriculum and database products.

Consult on high‑level troubleshooting across products.

Manage the full eBook lifecycle—curation, licensing, conversion, launch, and sunsetting.

Curate topical collections and work with Marketing & Sales to align with institutional priorities.

Continuously review collections for relevance and quality; monitor industry trends and propose recommendations.

Develop multi‑year, annual, and monthly strategic plans with Product Managers.

Identify workflow improvements to increase efficiency and data‑driven decisions.

Qualifications

BA/BS or equivalent, plus recent work experience.

Minimum 3 years progressively responsible experience in digital publishing, content development, or related field.

Proven success implementing content strategies in digital products.

Strong project management skills with complex workflows.

Strong analytical skills to interpret data and translate insights into action.

Excellent written, verbal communication and diplomacy with technical and non‑technical audiences.

Facilitation, problem‑solving, interpersonal skills, and high motivation.

Self‑disciplined and accountable, with curiosity and continuous‑learning mindset.

Excellent knowledge of digital content products and subject‑matter expertise or ability to acquire it.

Desirable: Experience with Cengage products, K12 market, eBook platforms, Science or Library Science.

Compensation Annual base salary range: $67,000.00 – $87,100.00 USD.

Sales roles may include additional incentive compensation beyond the base range.
