Description

A pivotal technical leader, driving the architectural vision, design, and implementation of core features for our photo and image editing applications. You will take end-to-end ownership, from initial concept and rapid prototyping to delivering robust, high-performance, and maintainable solutions that delight creatives everywhere.

To succeed in this role, you must be a creative problem solver who thrives in a fast-paced environment, working across teams and organizations. You should be excited about both rapidly prototyping new features and as well as taking the time to create a forward-looking architectural foundation.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 8+ years of professional experience in iOS application development

  • Expertise in Apple's core frameworks, particularly PhotoKit, Core Image, Core Graphics, AVFoundation, and Metal.

  • Proven experience leading the architecture and development of complex, high-performance media editing applications.

  • A deep understanding of modern camera technologies, image formats, color science, and computational photography principles.

  • Bachelor’s degree required in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related subject area, or we may consider an equivalent industry experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated ability to technically lead projects, mentor engineers, and drive multi-functional initiatives from concept to delivery.

  • Experience with large-scale asset management and optimizing for performance with high-resolution media.

Pay & Benefits

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $181,100 and $318,400, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
