We have partnered with an A & E Consulting Firm in the Cincinnati, OH area to provide them with a
Senior Mechanical Designer
role at
Allnessjobs . Base pay range
$80,000.00/yr - $85,000.00/yr Responsibilities
Work with the Project Manager and/or Lead Mechanical Engineer to develop the Project Execution Plan based on a project fee, scope, and schedule. Lead discipline project design team in completing project scope within budget and schedule for multiple projects. Ensure accurate and timely fieldwork following fieldwork requirements and discipline standards. Prepare heating and cooling load and ventilation (outside air) calculations. Select and layout HVAC equipment. Size, select, and layout air distribution systems including ductwork and diffusers/grilles/registers. Size, select, and layout hydronic equipment including pumps, tanks, and valves. Size, select, and layout hydronic piping including auxiliary equipment. Prepare flow and control diagrams. Progressively check layouts for accuracy and presentation, code compliance, adherence to client objectives, and provide sufficient level of detail while not exceeding design or construction budget. Determine quantity takeoffs for construction cost estimates. Reviews with Project Engineer. Prepare studies/reports; preliminary conceptual ideas, feasibility studies for Clients. Conduct quality review of final design drawings in accordance with the Quality Assurance Program. Assist with construction phase services (RFI’s, shop drawing review, site observation, and documentation, attend construction meetings, etc.). Assist in training and mentoring designers. Requirements
Associates Degree in Mechanical Engineer HIGHLY DESIRED--Equivalent experience considered 10+ years experience performing mechanical design work in an engineering consulting firm perform design work on industrial, mission-critical, commercial, and life science projects needed Experience with AutoCADD, Revit, Fathow, Arrowand/or Trane design software REQUIRED Great communication skills Willingness to provide mentorship to junior designers and engineers Benefits
