Responsibilities As a Multimedia Journalist (MMJ), you will research, pitch, shoot, interview, edit, and publish stories across TV, connected TV, and digital platforms. You will own the entire storytelling process, collaborate with a diverse team, and produce compelling coverage that connects viewers on traditional and digital platforms. What the Position Offers Connecting with neighbors while digging into local issues Telling stories across TV, connected TV, and digital platforms Working with flexible deadlines and a supportive community to maintain work‑life balance Qualifications Required Qualifications Experience : Television news reporting – 3+ years Education : Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism, Communications, or related field; or comparable television work experience Technical Skills : Ability to shoot videos, use video editing software, and leverage social media effectively Skills : Communicate effectively on camera, through writing, and verbally Abilities : Innate curiosity and a sense of urgency for creating compelling stories; lift up to 30 pounds Travel Ability : Open to travel and interact with the community Schedule : Work under time‑pressure deadlines, flexible shifts, and weekend/holiday work for breaking news and emergencies Valid driver’s license for authorized driving in state of residence Preferred Qualifications Experience working in a 24‑hour news channel Working Conditions Work inside climate‑controlled environment and outside year‑round; may be exposed to extreme heat or cold; exposed to various weather conditions Benefits and Compensation Base pay generally ranges from $81,000.00 to $148,500.00 .
