Marketing Specialist - Overland Expo

We’re looking for a driven and detail-oriented professional to oversee key aspects of our event and marketing initiatives in the consumer space. This role includes maintaining website content and event apps, conducting surveys for event analytics and stats, handling media and PR efforts, and ensuring all advertising, informational, and sales materials are impactful and on-brand.
This position is based out of our Alpharetta, GA office location.
Sales Marketing
Develop sales packages and proposals for clients (digital/branded content + live events)
Manage marketing program working directly with editorial team to drive affiliate revenue
Supports sales staff by providing sales data, market trends, forecasts, account analyses, and new product information.
Support the sales team with project management as needed
Consumer Marketing
Develop lists of organizations for grassroots marketing opportunities and manage outreach to arrange partnerships
Work with event teams to gather event recap statistics and post to websites post-event
Support the marketing team with project management as needed
General Marketing Support
Conduct surveys including post-event to gather data and event stats for sales and marketing talking points
Make weekly websites updates in WordPress as needed (exhibitor lists, sponsor logo updates, general content updates, etc)
Manage and distribute promotional tickets and elements to media partners
Deploy media rooms to all applicable media outlets
Create marketing talking points for all events
Create traffic instructions for all media buysCreate and work with design team for all graphic needs including support for email, social, website, ads, and other assets for both print and digital needs
Education and Experience Requirements
Work experience in digital marketing and/or the outdoor or overland industry
Working knowledge of branded content strategies, ad serving tools, SEO/SEM campaigns, marketing database, email, social media and/or display advertising campaigns
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong time management, multitasking and organizational skills with a solid attention to detail.
Team player who accepts responsibility for their projects, is process-oriented with analytical, problem-solving abilities
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
