ENTRUST Solutions Group has a position opening available for an environmental designer/specialist to join the environmental team located in Forest Hill, Maryland. This position will effectively complete or assist with environmental policy and permitting tasks in the energy and renewables sector to maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Applicants should have a basic to thorough understanding of federal, state, and local environmental regulations and strong technical writing skills.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Assist with various environmental and development related field work including general ecological assessments and field data mapping

Draft and process various environmental and development related plans and permits including but not limited to erosion and sediment control plans, grading plans, site plans, stormwater management, and construction phasing plans

Assist with development and compilation of federal, state, and/or local permit documents

Assist with compiling various technical reports and maintaining environmental permit compliance, including applying for permit modifications and renewals

Perform NPDES/Sediment Control inspections and construction monitoring as needed

Report to managers regarding various drafting, planning, field, and permitting work

Communicate with regulatory agencies at the discretion of managers

Familiar with all field safety requirements

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in environmental engineering, landscaping architecture, or related field from an accredited university

Working knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations specifically related to USACE, USEPA, NEPA,

Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office suite

Working knowledge of AutoCAD software

Strong communication and customer service skills

Unquestioned business and personal integrity

Must be able to travel interlocally to project locations (30% travel) as needed for field work and onsite meetings.
