Position Overview
This Adjunct Faculty member will teach courses in Animation and Game Development. Courses may be taught in an array of teaching modalities: MDC In-Person, MDC Live (Learning Interactively in a Virtual Environment), MDC Online (online delivery) and Blended Classes.

Teaches lecture and laboratory sections
Evaluates and advises students
Participates in departmental and College affairs
Develops curricula
Recruits students
Serves on committees
Performs other duties as assigned
What you need to succeed
Master’s degree in Game Development and Design; Interactive Media; Information Technology; Video Game Programming, or related field (e.g., Interactive Design and Game Development; Game Science and Design; Visual Design for Games; Interactive Design and Game Development; and Computer Animation; and one (1) year of full-time industry work experience or a portfolio with evidence of industry work experience and applied learning; or Master's degree and 18 graduate semester hours in Game Development and Design or any of the above-referenced fields; and one (1) year of full-time industry work experience or a portfolio with evidence of industry work experience and applied learning; or Bachelor's degree in Game Development and Design or any of the above-referenced fields; and four (4) years of full-time industry work experience, including student portfolio development, in a production and/or studio environment.
All educational degrees must be from a regionally accredited institution
Possess excellent communication skills and ability to communicate effectively with students with a wide range of skills
Possess excellent interpersonal skills
Ability to work well with students, faculty, staff and the community
Demonstrated effective use of active learning techniques
Ability to work well in a multi-ethnic and multi-cultural environment with students, faculty and staff
Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include evening and weekend assignments
