Position Overview Boeing is hiring for an

Electrophysics Engr-Scien (IR/Electro-Optical-Visual) Experience or Senior Level

to work on our team located in

Berkeley, MO .

The IRMA Electro-physics Engineer/Scientist position provides key expertise to the software development team: developing algorithms, supporting the implementation by the software development team, and performing analysis of laboratory and flight test data. The position requires knowledge and experience with platform signature and survivability modeling, Electro-Optical and Infra-Red (EO/IR) sensors and sensor processing, including impacts of environmental conditions. The IRMA engineer will support integration of IRMA mission systems into platform(s), including the development of enhancements/requirements for new platform types.

Position Responsibilities

Assists in developing and documenting requirements for various communication, sensor, electronic warfare and other electromagnetic systems and components.

Performs basic analysis to predict component performance to established requirements.

Conducts simple tests to validate performance of designs to requirements. Collects data on supplier and partner performance to ensure compliance to requirements.

Provides support to products throughout their lifecycle.

Supports project management by gathering project status data.

Gathers information to support development of sections of proposals to support development of new business.

Works under close supervision.

Security Clearance This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)

Qualifications Basic Qualifications

Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry

(Level 4) 9+ years of work related engineering experience with a Bachelor’s or 7+ years of work related engineering experience with a Master’s or 4+ years of work related engineering experience with a PhD

(Level 5) 14+ years of work-related experience with a Bachelors degree or 12+ years of work-related experience with a Masters or 9+ years of work-related experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications

9+ years of experience with electromagnetic systems

Typical Education for Lead Level Level 4 Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), computer science, engineering data science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience or non-US equivalent qualifications. In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Level 5 Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), computer science, engineering data science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 14 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience or non-US equivalent qualifications. In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Summary Pay Range

Level 4: $118,150 - $159,850

Level 5: $145,350 - $196,650
