Tenure-Track Assistant Professor in Architectural Design
Pay Range: $90,000 – $100,000
Salary offers at Syracuse University are based on education, experience, and relevant skills, as well as the academic or professional discipline of the position in the context of the home department, school, or college. Salary offers may also be influenced by prior work or experience. Faculty pay ranges are for 8.5 months’ salary unless otherwise specified.

Job Description:
Syracuse University School of Architecture – a top-ranked research institution committed to building a faculty with a range of perspectives, experiences, and backgrounds – seeks candidates for a tenure-track position in Architectural Design at the Assistant Professor rank starting in the 2026-2027 academic year.
Qualifications:
Professional or terminal degree in architecture or related field.
Candidate should possess professional experience in architectural design and demonstrate a potential for recognized research that may include creative work and/or scholarship in the form of publications, exhibitions, and grants.
Candidates should demonstrate the ability to integrate their research interests, creative work, or professional practice into their teaching.
Responsibilities:
Design studios and a seminar or lecture course in a well-defined field of expertise in building systems, representation, history, or theory.
Working towards an internationally recognized research and/or professional design profile, serving the school, university, and community.
