About the Role We are seeking a highly skilled Product Marketing Director to oversee the strategy and execution of marketing initiatives for our product portfolio, which includes books, lifestyle objects, and candles. This role will also lead trade marketing efforts across retail and wholesale, ensuring strong product positioning, consistent brand representation, and measurable results. Product Marketing
Develop and lead the go-to-market strategy for over 100+ book launches per year, objects, and candles, from positioning to launch to lifecycle management.
Partner with product, sales, and creative teams to define key messaging, audience insights, and marketing campaigns.
Manage marketing calendars and ensure timely execution of product launches across all channels.
Create integrated product marketing campaigns that align with brand priorities and business objectives.
Work in partnership with Marketing Art Director to develop launch assets across print, windows, digital, and in collaboration with internal Digital Content team
Trade Marketing
Oversee retail and wholesale marketing programs , ensuring consistent brand representation across physical and digital channels.
Develop trade marketing assets and toolkits (displays, collateral, digital assets, POS materials) that support partner needs.
Collaborate with sales teams on retail activations, pop-ups, and in-store marketing that drive awareness and conversion.
Track and report on trade marketing performance, providing insights and recommendations for optimization.
Lead, mentor, and grow a product marketing team.
Oversee the company digital library for training materials.
Collaborate cross-functionally with brand, PR, digital, and sales teams to deliver cohesive marketing strategies.
Manage external agencies and vendors to ensure timely and high-quality execution.
Establish and monitor KPIs to measure effectiveness of product and trade marketing initiatives.
8–10+ years of experience in product marketing, ideally within publishing, consumer goods, or lifestyle categories.
~ Proven success in developing and executing trade marketing programs across retail and wholesale.
~ Strong understanding of go-to-market strategy, brand positioning, and lifecycle marketing.
~ Experience managing budgets, timelines, and external partners.
~ Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
~ Leadership experience with a track record of building and motivating teams.
