About the Show
SUPERFANS is a heartwarming video podcast series exploring music's power to connect people from different backgrounds through shared fandom. Each 45-minute episode pairs two unlikely superfans of the same artist, culminating in a concert experience and potential artist meet-and-greet.
What You'll Do
Produce 5 studio-based episodes (recording in Week 6) with remote coordination for final concert scenes
Execute multi-segment episode structure: fan introductions, first connection, musical deep dive, shared journey, concert experience, artist encounter, and reflection
Coordinate with talent management for final-scene meet-and-greet logistics
Manage fan casting workflow and vetting process using data platforms
Oversee editing workflow in Week 7 for 45-minute episodes
Create compelling short-form content for YouTube, TikTok, Instagram (30-60 second clips optimized for each platform)
Negotiate talent and footage releases and diplomatically navigate access commitments
Develop additional audience engagement strategy and social media segments
Work within scrappy-tier budget constraints while maintaining high production values
You're a Great Fit If You
Have 2-4 years of podcast/video production experience with portfolio examples
Are obsessed with short-form content and understand what makes clips go viral on TikTok/IG Reels/YouTube Shorts
Have experience with verite-style documentary storytelling that captures authentic emotion, and real person (non-celebrity) casting and producing
Can edit or closely direct editors for both long-form (45 min) and social cutdowns
Thrive in fast-paced environments with tight deadlines (Week 6 rec, Week 7 editing)
Understand music rights and licensing basics
Are highly organized with multiple simultaneous workstreams (casting, logistics, production, post)
Can work independently with minimal supervision but communicate proactively
Bonus Points
Experience working with fan communities or music-focused content
Familiarity with concert and show venues/artist management protocols
Background in both studio and field production
Archival research experience
Post production (graphics, color grading and audio mixing) oversight skills
Timeline Weeks 3-8+ (approximately 6+ weeks), starting immediately.
