About the Role
Onassis ONX is seeking an experienced producer to support the production of all programming, our studio development pipeline, and other administrative activities in New York City. This role requires a strategic, hands‑on team member ideally with a passion for and deep understanding of immersive media, large‑scale installations, and interactive storytelling. The producer will work closely with the larger Onassis ONX team as they continue to build a platform for development, exhibition, and distribution of new media artworks and immersive experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Program Production
- Support the end‑to‑end production of all Onassis ONX programs including production design, creating schedules and timelines, material tracking, docent and technician scheduling, rentals and deliveries, tracking agreements/contracts, and other related logistics.
- Work with Onassis ONX team during programming which may include both front‑of‑house and back‑of‑house duties.
- Studio Pipeline
- Work and be present within Onassis ONX studio to help build community.
- Support artists for select developmental activities, track development programs, contextualize studio reports for leadership.
- Compile project information from artists for presentations and internal reporting. Gather touring and installation documents generated from presentations and development programs for distribution efforts.
- Administrative Duties
- Support greater Onassis ONX team on select administrative duties including generating reports, scheduling meetings with partners and collaborators, and tracking program budgets.
- Coordinate activities with the larger Onassis ecosystem in Greece.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in production management for large‑scale exhibitions, or festival installations or equivalent large‑scale media productions.
- Proven ability to deliver high‑profile, interactive, and technology‑driven projects.
- Great knowledge and passion for interactive media and experiential storytelling.
- Experience in budgeting, scheduling, and logistics management within creative productions.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills, with a proactive and detail‑oriented approach.
- Ability to work in fast‑paced environments and adapt to evolving project needs.
Compensation & Application
This is a contracted role running from November 1, 2025 to February 1, 2026 including a more intensive exhibition program from January 7‑18 in New York. Depending on performance, the contracted role could be expanded through the rest of 2026. Compensation will be determined on applicant experience and ability to engage, but generally is based on a $37.50 hourly rate. The role requires an average commitment of up to four days a week with more engagement during exhibitions and other programming.
