smartdept. inc. is seeking a fast, detail-oriented Graphic Designer for a remote freelance contract supporting our client’s marketing and communications teams. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on multi-page document work, is an expert in InDesign and the Adobe Creative Suite, and enjoys collaborating across departments to bring creative projects to life.

What You’ll Do:

• Design and produce multi-page documents, including brochures, reports, collateral, and presentations, ensuring brand consistency throughout
• Execute a variety of marketing materials—digital and print—from concept through completion
• Work closely with Marcom and marketing managers to implement design solutions that are on-brand and meet business goals
• Collaborate with copywriters, researchers, and other creatives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Update and align existing materials to new brand guidelines
• Support campaigns, social media, and event materials as needed
• Juggle multiple assignments, prioritize deadlines, and maintain high quality standards

What You’ll Need:

• 3+ years of professional graphic design experience (marketing/agency experience preferred)
• Strong portfolio showcasing multi-page documents and advanced typography skills
• Expert-level proficiency in Adobe InDesign; advanced skills in Photoshop, Illustrator, and the rest of the Creative Suite
• Experience designing for both print and digital (web, email, social assets)
• Fast, efficient work style and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Excellent attention to detail, organization, and communication skills
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams
• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or equivalent experience preferred
• Bonus: Experience in healthcare, science, or medical industries; motion graphics, interactive design, or photography skills
