Public Relations Specialist (Contract)

Veteran‑owned consulting firm HRUCKUS is seeking a Public Relations Specialist to provide temporary staff support to the District of Columbia Department of Health. The assignment is onsite at 2201 Shannon Place, SE, Washington, DC 20006.

Base Pay Range

$37.40 – $41.00 per hour.

Job Duration

1‑year contract with the possibility of extension.

Position Responsibilities

• Act as a liaison between the employer/client and the public.
• Establish and maintain cordial relationships with news media, consumers, government, local communities, and other public‑interest groups.

Position Requirements

• 4‑6 years of experience in public relations, communications, or a related field.
• Demonstrated experience serving as a public liaison.
• Proven ability to establish and maintain relationships with media and other public‑interest groups.
• Resident of the District of Columbia (DMV resident).
