Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive WordPress Developer to manage and optimize our WordPress-based websites. This role is responsible for maintaining site functionality, ensuring security, updating content, and improving user experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of WordPress development, plugins, themes, and SEO/accessibility best practices. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in WordPress, excellent troubleshooting skills, and experience working with hosting providers to ensure stable, high-performance websites.

Key Responsibilities

• Customize themes and templates to align with brand guidelines and functional requirements.
• Work directly with web hosting providers to manage domain settings, SSL certificates, server performance, staging environments, and troubleshooting downtime or errors.
• Optimize website performance including load speed, uptime, and mobile responsiveness.
• Set up and manage backups, monitor site uptime, and implement disaster recovery plans.
• Ensure site security through firewall configuration, malware scanning, and timely updates.
• Implement SEO best practices using tools like Yoast SEO, Rank Math, or All in One SEO.
• Collaborate with content creators, account services, and designers to publish and optimize content.
• Monitor and analyze website traffic and performance using tools like Google Analytics and Search Console.
• Stay up to date with WordPress trends, plugin developments, and industry best practices.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience developing and managing WordPress websites.
• Strong understanding of web hosting environments (shared, VPS, managed WordPress) and control panels (e.g., cPanel, Plesk).
• Hands‑on experience working with hosting providers (e.g., SiteGround, Bluehost, WP Engine, GoDaddy).
• Proficiency with WordPress CMS and page builders like Cornersone, WPBakery, or Elementor.
• Familiarity with FTP/SFTP, DNS settings, and database management (phpMyAdmin or similar).
• Knowledge of caching, CDN setup (e.g., Cloudflare), and performance optimization tools.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with WooCommerce and e-commerce integrations.
• Familiarity with Git or version control for deployment workflows.
• Understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG) and GDPR compliance.
