About The Role

We're seeking a Staff Service Designer to lead strategic design initiatives focused on enhancing the mid-market customer experience. This is a high-impact role requiring deep service design expertise, cross-functional collaboration, and the ability to influence senior leadership.

Duration: 1-Year W2 Contract

Hybrid: Downtown Atlanta, GA

  • Service Design Expertise - Proven experience leading complex service design initiatives.
  • Cross-Functional Facilitation - Skilled in presenting and co-creating with diverse teams and leadership levels.
  • Design Tools - Proficiency in Miro, FigJam, or similar platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Lead service design strategy for high-touch services including customer health monitoring, proactive guidance, and retention/renewal.
  • Synthesize research, stakeholder input, and data to craft future-state customer success journeys.
  • Develop service blueprints, ecosystem maps, and strategic frameworks to align cross‑functional teams.
  • Partner with senior leadership to shape long‑term roadmaps for Customer Success operations and technology.
  • Establish service design principles and playbooks for scalable, consistent experiences.

Skills & Experience

  • 7+ years of service design experience, with a focus on strategic, large‑scale challenges.
  • Expertise in Mid‑Market segment design and customer success environments.
  • Strong understanding of CRM platforms; Salesforce experience is a major plus.
  • Systems thinker with the ability to connect customer experience, business processes, and technology.
  • Exceptional storytelling and leadership skills to drive alignment and inspire action.

Education

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Design, HCI, Business, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).

Project Focus

  • Design onboarding and experience journeys for mid‑market QuickBooks customers.
  • Balance design craft with facilitation and co‑creation across global teams.
  • Create visual artifacts (blueprints, journey maps, prototypes) using FigJam, Miro, or Mural.
  • Collaborate with senior leaders and stakeholders across product, engineering, and operations.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $65.00/hr.
