We're seeking a software engineer to help build the next generation of AI-driven features that augment the music-making process. You'll work on cutting-edge machine learning applications that provide artists with intelligent assistance exactly when they need it — all while ensuring they maintain full creative control.

Description

Make a difference. As a ML Software Engineer on the Music Creation Apps team, you'll collaborate daily with machine learning researchers, application engineers, QA specialists, and product designers to transform innovative AI concepts into production-ready features. Your work will span the entire product development lifecycle, from early ideation and prototyping through to launch and beyond. This role requires balancing technical excellence with creative problem-solving as you help shape the future of music creation technology.

Minimum Qualifications

  • BS/MS in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Machine Learning, or related technical field, or 3 years of equivalent work experience.

  • Experience implementing machine learning solutions for audio, speech, or music applications.

  • Experience designing data augmentation pipelines.

  • Experience developing production software applications using Python, C++ or Swift.

  • Experience writing code for model training pipelines and evaluation tools using Python.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP).

  • Experience integrating machine learning models into consumer-facing applications from prototype to production.

  • Experience optimizing machine learning models for on-device deployment

  • Experience developing real-time audio processing software and digital signal processing.

  • Experience with music and audio technologies, recording or producing music or playing an instrument is a big plus.

Pay & Benefits

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $181,100 and $318,400, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
