Engineering- Technical Writer (12 month contract // North Haven, CT):
Base pay range: $35.00/hr - $48.00/hr

Support validation activities, such as protocol creation and testing, and maintain databases for tracking validation activities, test results, and validated systems.
Develop validation documentation: Installation Qualification (IQ), Operational Qualification (OQ), Performance Qualification (PQ), Process Validation (PV), validation plans, validation reports, and validation summaries.
Experience with DOE principles and development of validation protocols.
Experience with writing of equipment specifications for quoting, ensuring adherence to the client equipment and validation standards.
Experience with various authoring tools (e.g., InDesign, FrameMaker, XML tools) is preferred.
Target Years of Experience: 2-5 years of experience with capital engineering projects and technical writing.
Duties
Creates, develops, plans, writes and edits operational, instructional, maintenance or test procedures for paper, multimedia, web-based publications, and user sites; may produce content for embedded user assistance technology.
Conducts interviews with various users and technical staff to gather data for documentation.
Researches and translates technical information into manuals and/or web-based documents for nontechnical and technical users.
May document engineering processes and specifications.
Recommends formats responsive to technical and customer requirements.
Produces products that conform to the company documentation and quality assurance standards.
Required Experience
Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably with a technical focus.
Experience supporting validation activities, including retemplating and development of validation documentation with engineering team.
Experience with various authoring tools (e.g., InDesign, FrameMaker, XML tools).
