Telecommunications Project Manager
kW Mission Critical Engineering, a WSP company, specializes in the design of mission‑critical data centers worldwide. We seek a Project Manager to support our kW MCE Telecommunication Team.
Responsibilities
Lead teams of engineers, designers and other staff through project completion.
Manage medium to large projects, handling more than one project simultaneously.
Prepare project work plans, proposals, schedules, and obtain management/client approval.
Maintain regular communication with clients about project status and quality, proactively resolving issues.
Manage relationships with stakeholders, including internal/external clients, vendors, regulatory authorities, technical agencies and the public.
Track, analyze and report on performance against plans; prepare cost and schedule reporting for clients and internal processes; address change management promptly.
Maintain internal reporting: monthly financial forecast, budget maintenance, KPI monitoring.
Analyze risks, establish contingency plans, identify trigger events and responsibilities for mitigation.
Lead business development initiatives: RfQs and RfPs, scope definition, fee estimation, and management approvals.
Provide mentoring, encouragement and motivation to team members.
Ensure project records are maintained and correspondence monitored.
Schedule and facilitate project meetings to coordinate work activities.
Administer subconsultant agreements as assigned.
Implement and manage the kW Quality Control Plan for each project.
Track and report workload management throughout the project.
Manage client and subconsultant invoicing.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline, construction management or equivalent experience.
7‑10 years of project/program management experience on large engineering and/or construction projects.
Experience leading multidisciplinary teams, managing scope, quality, cost and schedule to successful completion.
Familiarity with common project delivery models.
Strong skills in project planning, risk management, cost management, schedule management and performance reporting.
Exceptional written and oral communication skills, including presentations to senior management and the public.
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with people from many disciplines.
Strategic, conceptual analytical thinking and decision‑making skills.
Adaptability, flexibility and ability to manage deadline pressure, ambiguity and change.
Negotiating skills in politically sensitive contexts and conflicting interests.
Proficiency with MS Office and project management software (e.g., MS Project).
Detail‑oriented with ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Familiarity reading drawings and specifications.
Adherence to WSP Code of Conduct and related policies.
Ability to comply with WSP health, safety, drug/alcohol and harassment policies.
Preferred Qualifications
Project or Program Management Professional certification (e.g., PMP).
Degree in Engineering, Planning or related field.

Compensation Expected salary: $124,000 – $172,000 (all locations). WSP USA reserves the right to pay above or below this range based on experience, location and internal equity.
