Senior Associate, Marketing Data Scientist (PCO)

As a Senior Data Scientist, PCO Analytics (x1), you’ll lead analytical effort that support Humana’s Primary Care Organization (PCO). You’ll transform complex data into actionable insights that guide marketing strategies, improve member engagement, and support operational excellence. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced, data‑driven environment and enjoys connecting analytics to real‑world healthcare outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Leverage dashboards and reporting tools to develop insights around campaign performance, member engagement, and operational KPIs
Conduct deep‑dive analyses to uncover trends, identify opportunities, and support strategic planning
Collaborate with marketing, clinical, and strategy teams to align analytics with business goals
Translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for leadership and stakeholders
Mentor junior analysts and contribute to best‑practice development in analytics
Develop custom machine‑learning models such as segmentation, multi‑touch attribution, churn models, regression, random forest, XGBoost, clustering, text mining for revenue generation and other business outcomes
Conduct power analysis, hypothesis testing, and design A/B tests; support implementation and present findings to business partners
Use mathematics, statistics, modeling, business analysis, and technology to transform high volumes of complex data into advanced analytic solutions
Perform post‑campaign analysis including media performance, consumer/audience performance, consumer profiles, patient appointment analysis and omni‑channel analysis
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Pharmacy, Business, Healthcare, or related quantitative field, OR 3–5 years of data analytics or data science experience
3+ years of proficiency in SQL, Python, or R for data analysis and modeling
3+ years of experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
3+ years experience setting up causal inference experiments
Experience developing, maintaining, and collecting structured and unstructured data sets for analysis and reporting
Ability to create reports, projections, models, and presentations to support business strategy and tactics
3+ years knowledge of predictive modeling and segmentation techniques
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in a quantitative or healthcare‑related field
Familiarity with HIPAA and healthcare compliance standards
Experience with Snowflake / Databricks
Marketing experience
Experience with Adobe Analytics
Work from Home Information
Minimum internet download speed 25 Mbps and upload speed 10 Mbps (wireless, wired, or DSL recommended)
Satellite, cellular, or microwave connections approved only by leadership
Associates working from Home in CA, IL, MT, or SD receive a bi‑weekly payment for internet expense

Travel While this is a remote position, occasional travel to Humana’s offices for training or meetings may be required.
Scheduled Weekly Hours 40 hours
Pay Range $117,600 – $161,700 per year. The compensation range may vary by location and experience.
Bonus Eligible for a bonus incentive plan based on company and/or individual performance.
