This position offers an exciting opportunity to oversee the commercial and financial aspects of large-scale water infrastructure Design/Build projects. The ideal candidate will excel in managing contract negotiations, budgeting, cost control, and risk management, ensuring the financial success of our projects. We seek a leader with a strong background in commercial management, preferably in the water market sector, who is an excellent negotiator with outstanding analytical leadership skills. Responsibilities
Collaborate closely with the Project Manager to manage cost, schedule, and risk activities, ensuring contract compliance. Oversee and contribute to the development, baselining, and tracking of the design schedule. Assist in bid preparation, contract negotiation, risk analysis, and pricing of design fees prior to project award. Support the project team during the proposal phase, including reviewing RFPs and contracts for deliverables, risks, and notice requirements. Provide input on pricing and contingency, identify execution ambiguities, and suggest contract language changes. Manage change notifications and change requests. Handle contract management tasks, including preparing and issuing contractual communications, addressing project commercial and contractual issues, and liaising with subconsultants. Draft subcontracts for design or engineering services; administer prime contractors and flow-downs to subcontractors, task orders, and modifications; monitor contract performance by tracking compliance documents, schedules, and deliverables. Review project deliverables (e.g., Quality Control Manual, NCR responses) to identify and mitigate risks. Develop incentive plans through alliances and partnerships with the supply chain and stakeholders. Procure and implement web-based contract management/administration tools. Oversee the commercial team, including project administration, scheduling, and document control. Provide input in pricing disputes with prime contractors and subconsultants. Proactively manage claims and risks, initiate claims, dispute resolution, and respond to claims notifications. Interface with the AD lead and Operations. Qualifications
10+ years’ experience in commercial leadership of large infrastructure projects and/or programs, including Engineering, Design-Build, P3, project management, construction, project controls, and/or staff leadership or equivalent. Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, law, or equivalent. Experience using contract management tools, reporting, and financial systems. Ideally you’ll also have
Master’s degree in related fields. Professional Engineer (PE) license. Benefits
