PRN/Pool CT Technologist II – Advanced Visualization Center. Department: Orlando Health Medical Group - Radiologist Administration. Status: Pool. Shift: Wednesday 7:00 AM–7:30 PM or 7:00 PM–7:30 AM. Title: CT Technologist II. Address of Practice: Orlando, FL 32806. Provides quality patient care when performing diagnostic imaging and related procedures to demonstrate anatomy for interpretation and/or intervention while adhering to radiation safety principles. Responsibilities

Essential Functions Exercises professional judgment in performance of services and maintains a demeanor complimentary to quality care. Delivers appropriate care while recognizing patient conditions and ensuring successful completion of procedures. Complies with all state and federal regulations applicable to each modality. Adheres to Orlando Health mission statements and strategic imperatives. Assesses the patient’s physical condition and age-specific needs. Provides instructions that achieve patient cooperation and desired results. Performs proper patient identification, acquires patient’s clinical history, and ensures information is accurately documented. Positions patient, equipment, and devices; manipulates technical factors to achieve high-quality images for interpretation. Assesses diagnostic images for technical quality, proper annotation, and patient identification, ensuring that all relevant anatomy is demonstrated. Applies principles of radiation safety to minimize exposure to patients, self, and others. Complies with Quality Control standards and participates in all related tasks. Demonstrates proficiency in contrast administration with and without power injectors; performs venipuncture and evaluates IV access as prescribed. Administers medical aid in case of adverse reactions to contrast medication and/or other emergencies. Applies standard precautions and PPE to prevent cross-contamination of contagious diseases. Assists in supervision of student technologists and training of new technologists. Utilizes Corporate Radiology computer systems effectively and accurately. Maintains safety of all customers and ensures reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with policy. Maintains compliance with Orlando Health policies, department guidelines, and education requirements. Maintains cleanliness of work area and equipment; ensures well-stocked and organized work areas; provides patient transport. Qualifications

Education/Training Graduate of accredited school of Radiologic Technology; or Graduate of an approved school of Nuclear Medicine Technology. Licensure/Certification Current AHA BLS/Healthcare Provider certification. Valid Certified Radiologic Technologist licensure by the State of Florida. Valid ARRT certification (R) and valid ARRT certification (CT); or NMTCB certification in CT; or NMTCB CNMT and valid ARRT certification (CT). Experience Mandatory minimum of two (2) years CT experience with advanced imaging experience (e.g., 3D Lab, IR imaging, or Cardiac imaging) and site proctor/preceptor experience. Primary responsibility: dual imaging roles with current proficiency and routine performance in a secondary modality. Employment Details
