Permanent *Relocation Assistance Provided* Summary: We are seeking a skilled
Mechanical Designer
to join a leading global energy solutions provider at the forefront of the power industry. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a rapidly growing in-house EPC engineering and design team, supporting fast-start, dispatchable power projects that are critical to energy security and the renewable transition. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional EPC teams, focusing on
piping design, equipment modeling, and developing design standards and procedures . This role requires adaptability, technical problem-solving, and the ability to collaborate effectively with engineers, project managers, and construction teams. Responsibilities: Design and route piping systems, layouts, and 3D equipment models for power plant systems. Prepare drawings, perform calculations, and resolve design issues. Conduct 3D model reviews for interferences and constructability improvements. Support as-built documentation using RFIs, ECNs, and red-line drawings. Contribute to the development of guidelines, procedures, and design standards. Stay current with design codes, specifications, and emerging industry technologies. Provide design oversight and ensure quality, safety, and operability in deliverables. Qualifications: Associate degree in drafting, design, or related field (or relevant experience). Minimum 2 years’ experience in mechanical or piping design. Proficiency in 2D/3D applications (Plant 3D, SmartPlant, CADWorx, AutoCAD, Navisworks, etc.). Strong collaboration skills in multi-disciplinary project environments. Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining high standards of quality. Desired Qualifications: Piping or mechanical modeling experience in the EPC power industry. Familiarity with Aconex Document Controls. Understanding of construction/constructability practices and proposal processes.
